There are many different methods of deciphering numerology meanings, all of which depend on the numerologist’s or the subject’s preferences.
To start with, you must decide which system the reading is to be based on, as the Chaldean, Chinese and Pythagorean forms are the basis of the art of numerology today.
The decision regarding which form of interpretation of the meanings of the numbers related to yourself should not be taken lightly. An in-depth study of the three specific systems should therefore be undertaken first so that you can find the method that is most appropriate, based on your beliefs and understanding of numerology.
You should also be aware that there are even differences, or sub-systems, within these various systems of numerology, all of which are interpreted individually.
This can clearly be seen in the Chinese system, which is believed to have originated from a tortoise shell. This system uses a three by three grid where, in the westernised version, the three top numbers, read from left to right are three, six and nine, the central line is two, five and eight and the bottom line is one, four and seven.
The original three by three Chinese grid which is also still used today should be read as four, nine and two being the top line, three, five and seven forming the middle line and eight, one and six being the bottom line.
When trying to find out for yourself what your own numbers are, the following steps are important so that you do not get ahead of yourself. Start at the very beginning and do not skip any of these steps so that a clear interpretation of the numbers can be found.
The very first step is to calculate your Numerical Birth Number.
This is done by adding up all the numbers in your birth date, one after another. For example, if you were born on 11 June 1955, it should be shown as 11/6/1955; thus the numbers to be added together are one plus one (for the day), six (for the month) and then one, nine, five and five (for the year), so the three separate calculations will be 1 + 1, 6 and 1 + 9 + 5 + 5. In numerology terms this would be 1 + 1 = 2; 6; and the addition of the numbers in the year as 20, so the total is 28. The next step is to add together the numbers of the total, so 2 + 8 = 10 and then, finally, these two numbers, 1 + 0, are added together to give an answer of 1, which is the Numerical Birth Number and therefore the lucky number for someone born on 11 June 1955.
This over-simplified explanation of the calculation of just one specific number in the science of numerology meanings alludes to the fact that each number used may be calculated and interpreted in many different ways, depending on the beliefs, methods and systems used by the numerologist.
